Content & Features

  • I want to view specific content in specific genre or language, can I do that?

    You can use the search option at the bottom of Home Screen by typing the content title/genre/language etc. or by filtering by language or by filtering by genre or from the trending content on the platform

    Also, you can find content filtered based on genres, language & partner app by means of the following rails

    • a. Browse by language
    • b. Browse by genre
    • c. Apps

    Tata Play Binge also recommends movies, TV shows or shorts to you based on new movies, or content you might be interested in, based on your past content viewing preferences.

  • Can I search the content via Voice Search?

    Yes, you can click on the voice search icon and start saying the name of the content you want to consume on the app and results will be basis your voice search

  • How can I use watchlist feature?

    On Program Information screen of every content or Player screen, you will find a star icon. Clicking on star icon will lead to addition of content to watchlist. Content added in watchlist can be viewed from the Watchlist icon from the bottom of Home. Content added to Watchlist can be accessed from any device under the subscription.

  • Can I share content with others?

    Yes, on Program Information screen, you will find a WhatsApp icon, which lets you share directly through WhatsApp. You can also use Share Icon to share using other modes. Only Subscriber with current Tata Play Binge Subscription can access the shared content.

  • Do I need to download partner apps on mobile to access?

    For apps as Sonyliv, Voot Select, Voot Kids, Curiosity Stream, Eros Now, Hungama Play & ShemarooMe, EPIC on, Docubay content, once you click on play on any of the content, content playback starts inside Binge app. The content playback starts in a portrait mode (except for Sonyliv, which starts directly in landscape mode). You can also view in the full screen mode.

    For Zee5 app content, once you click on any content and land on program information screen, you will see play CTA and that opens the Zee5 PWA interface inside Binge app and the content playback starts on the Zee5 PWA interface. Once you click back on the device, you will land on the Binge screen

    For Disney+ Hotstar app content, once you click on any content and land on program information screen, you will see play CTA and pop up to download the Disney+ Hotstar app, incase already not installed. Once you click OK, you will be taken to the download page on the play store to download the app. Post language selection you will land on the home page. You will need to login to the Disney+ Hotstar app using Tata Play RMN to play the content. In case you have Disney+ Hotstar app already installed and logged in using Tata Play RMN, then can play the content from Program Information Screen. For iOS users, the Hotstar app version should be v10.32 for seamless viewing experience.

  • Can I download individual app and access ?

    You cannot access content on individual apps directly with this subscription. Access is allowed only via the Tata Play Binge app. The only exception to this is Disney+ Hotstar, where you need to download and login with your Tata Play Registered Mobile Number to access Disney+ Hotstar.

  • Can I download movies or TV shows or watch content in Offline mode in Tata Play Binge Mobile App?

    No, currently you will need to be connected to internet to view content on app or on your TV screen. There is no download feature available. You can use Watchlist feature to save your favorite videos at one place to view later.

  • Can I Cast/Airplay on TV or other devices?

    Currently, Cast/Airplay is not available on Tata Play Binge Mobile App

  • Is it available on iOS and Android?

    Yes, it is available for both versions

  • What all can I watch with my Tata Play Binge subscription on Mobile App?

    This app lets you watch host of digital content like latest Bollywood/Hollywood/Regional movies, Best of English & Hindi TV series & Kids Content from premium apps as Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Voot Select, Voot Kids, Curiosity Stream, Shemaroo Me, Hungama Play, Eros Now, EPIC on, Doucbay. Sun NXT app and Last 7 days TV can be viewed only on Large screen (i.e. on Fire TV Stick - Tata Play Edition/Binge+ Set top box)

  • I have multiple Tata Play Binge Subscriptions, How can I switch Subscription?

    You can go to Account section wherein you will see an option to switch accounts, clicking on that you can proceed with switching profiles.

  • Can I cancel my Binge Subscription through Mobile?

    You can cancel the Binge Subscription through Binge Mobile app or Tata Play Customer case on whatsapp. You can also call Tata Play call centre to cancel your Tata Play Binge subscription. In case you have Fire TV Stick – Tata Play Edition, you need to return the device post cancellation.

  • What will happen if I have no balance?

    In case you go de-active post end of your current billing cycle, your Tata Play Binge pack will not be renewed until you recharge. In case you have Fire TV Stick – Tata Play Edition, Recovery Work Order will be created to retrieve the device 15 days from pack deactivation.

  • What is Account Page?

    Account Page shows you the details of Subscriber details like RMN & profile name, The Binge subscription details like plan name and expiry date, Tata Play balance & due date

  • I am already logged in max number of devices, How do I login in more?

    You can go to Device Management section in Account Page and manage/remove existing logged in device by clicking on cross to login into more devices. You can also log-out from one of the devices to manage your devices as per maximum device limit.

    Tata Play Binge is an app currently available on Fire TV Stick - Tata Play Edition, Binge+ Set top Box and Mobile Devices. It is exclusively available for Tata Play Subscribers.   • What is Tata Play Binge Mobile App?

    With the Launch of Tata Play Binge Mobile App, you can access the current Tata Play Binge subscription on multiple devices. Device eligibility is as per below plans:

    • Standard Plan (₹149 per month)
      • Access on 3 Mobiles Devices
      • Content from 9 Premium Apps (Zee5, SonyLiv, Voot Select, Voot Kids, Hungama Play, Shemaroo Me, Eros Now, EPIC ON and Docubay)
    • Premium Plan (₹299 per month)
      • 1 TV + 3 Mobiles Devices

  • Do I need to have a Tata Play subscription to watch content on Tata Play Binge Mobile App?

    Yes, in order to watch content on Tata Play Binge you will have to be an active Tata Play subscriber.

  • In case I am not a Tata Play Subscriber, How do I login?

    For Android users, You can click on Not on Tata Play? Get Now link on Login screen of Tata Play Binge Mobile app and you will be redirected for getting new Tata Play Connection.

  • How do I login in Tata Play Binge Mobile App?

    You can login using registered mobile number or Subscriber ID with OTP or password of selfcare

  • What happens if I don’t remember my password?

    No worries! You can login using OTP that you will receive on registered mobile number or you can reset the password by clicking on Forgot Password. If you have never created a password in Tata Play, then you would have to visit tataplay.com to register and create password.

  • I am not Tata Play Binge Subscriber, Can I login into the app?

    You Can log in to the app and browse through it but you will not be able to watch any content without an active Tata Play Binge Subscription. To start watching content, you can subscribe to Tata Play Binge plans through mobile or any other available modes and start watching content.   • I have multiple Sub IDs linked to my Registered Mobile Number, How will I know which account to login to?

    You will be provided a list of subscriber IDs wherein Tata Play Binge Active will be mentioned for whichever Subscriber ID your current Tata Play Binge subscription is active

  • How many devices can I login at a time?

    You can login into 1 large screen (Fire TV Stick – Tata Play Edition or Binge+ Set top box) and 3 small screen devices as mobile (iOS/Android or laptop) with a Premium plan.

    You can login into 3 small screen devices as mobile (iOS/Android or laptop) with a Standard plan.

  • How may screens can I watch content (concurrency)?

    Watch concurrency for particular partner apps will depend on the rules set up by partner apps as Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Sony LIV, Voot Select, Voot Kids, Sun NXT, Curiosity Stream, Shemaroo Me, Hungama Play, Eros Now, Docubay and EPIC ON

  • What are charges to watch content on Tata Play Binge Mobile App?

    If you are a new Binge subscriber, then you can watch content on Tata Play Binge Mobile app as per below plans:

    • Standard Plan (₹149 per month): 3 Mobiles Devices
    • Premium Plan (₹299 per month): 1 TV + 3 Mobiles Devices

    If you are an existing Binge subscriber, already with Premium plan (Rs 299 per month), then there is no extra cost for accessing your current Tata Play Binge Subscription through mobile app. Content outside of Tata Play Binge, on Fire TV Stick – Tata Play Edition is subject to individual subscription to the respective video streaming apps.

  • Will I get a 7-Day free trial on Binge Mobile app?

    You will get a 7 Day free trial if you have not utilized a 7-day free trial of Binge app earlier. All new Binge Subscribers get a 7-Day free trial

  • Will I get a new Fire TV Stick – Tata Play Edition as part of my subscription?

    You can get a complimentary Fire TV stick – Tata Play Edition in the Premium plan. Complimentary Fire TV Stick offer is subject to eligibility criteria as per your pin code.   • I am inactive Tata Play Binge Subscriber; can I access Mobile app?

    You need to be active Tata Play Binge Subscriber either on Standard plan or premium plan to access Mobile App. Once you login into the app, you will see your current subscription and option to recharge to reactivate the subscription

  • Where can I recharge to use/activate Tata Play Binge Subscription?

    You can recharge using all the current channels as Selfcare/Third Party Wallets/Tata Play Website, etc. Additionally, you can go to My account page in Tata Play Mobile App and will view an option to Recharge (available only for Android version)

  • Can I modify my subscription anytime?

    You can modify your subscription anytime. Subscription changes will happen as per prevailing plan change guidelines. Below are the currently applicable plan change guidelines:

    • Subscription Upgrade (Standard to Premium): You can upgrade to your subscription anytime and upgrade will be effective immediately from the day of request
    • Subscription Downgrade (Premium to Standard): You can downgrade your subscription anytime however downgrade will be effective post the expiry of premium plan
  • Can I cancel my Tata Play Binge subscription anytime?

    You can cancel your subscription anytime however cancellation will be effective post the expiry of your monthly active plan. If you are holding a Fire TV stick – Tata Play Edition, then same will be retrieved from you post your subscription cancelation. You can cancel your subscription by Mobile, Whatsapp or reaching out to our customer care center at 1800 208 6633.
